CCAT offers a variety of high-quality professional development programs.
There are on-line programs specifically designed to meet the needs of the administrative justice community. These programs are for tribunal staff and members as well as adjudicators who do not have easy access to in-person training offerings or for those whose schedules do not permit attendance at an in-person course.
CCAT also holds a highly-interactive, practical five-day in-person course in adjudication for adjudicators. This extremely popular course is held twice a year and provides the essential tools for any newly appointed adjudicator and serves as an excellent refresher for more experienced decision makers.
CCAT partners with the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice (CIAJ) on an interactive course on decision writing. This course is held annually, typically at the end of May, at various locations across Canada. Information on this annual program will be posted on the website as details are available.
